Hi! Iam sorry that I did not reply on time. Remember ,I am not an expert. But let me try.
First log on to http://www.gsnindia.com/
In the home page you will see a colored menu strip in block capital. Fourth one is SMARTSTOCK.
Right click on it and a pull down menu will come in which the third one is DOWNLOAD.
Before that you make a folder SMARTSTOCK in one of your drives.
Before you download, you will have to register. Select a Username and Password. This I think you would have already done.
Click download. You will have to direct the downloading to the chosen folder.
Once you have downloaded the software, its about seven MB, you will have to open the folder and installMySQL Connector ODBC first for the software to work. Then press on the smartstock setup icon.
Once you have installed and you are on the net log in once.
The administrator says now that the software is being updated and will be intimated once the version is ready.
The version I am using is 7.2. It has lots of problems and we may take some time to learn how to exploit the strength of the software.
If the software has been already debugged and minting money with free advises, you may not be getting it free.
Anyway, once you use it and like it you may not mind paying for it in its refined form.

How do we download the software? I am hung in the middle. Every time it takes to the page showing invalid thread.
I too have downloaded the software, Mysql and have run the things. After loading the software , I have even entered my portfolio name. But the real problem starts from here. I am not able to add scrips to my portfolio because whenever I enter the scrip code, the add scrip box doesnt list my portfolio name and so I cannot select my portfolio . It gives an error like, please select your portfolio but there are no selection available inspite of having entered portfolio names.
Oops -------I got bored and I hope it works.

First u hv to register then in main forum there is a forum Download smartstock updates click on this forum n then there is link provided by gsnindia to download smartstock.
